Eren Parmakerli, a 15-year-old pre-college student in Prof. Sontraud Speidel’s piano class, has been awarded a special prize for his interpretation of Beethoven at the international Beethoven Bonnensis Competition. The competition was open to all instrumental groups, including voice, solo and ensemble, aged 13–19, with no distinction made between age groups. Zhelyo Todorov, a second-semester Bachelor’s student in Prof. Denys Proshayev’s class, has won the ‘Absolute 1st Prize’ and a diploma in the Advanced B – Piano category (age group 19–20) at the Fanny Mendelssohn International Online Competition. Zhelyo Todorov was born in 2006 in the city of Varna, Bulgaria.
