A fresh start – Lauma Skride, Yoerae Kim and Jone Kaliunaite-Fassbender take up their professorships

Jiawei Hong, who studied for a Bachelor’s degree in flute under Prof. Pirmin Grehl from 2021 until the summer of 2025, has won first prize in the ‘Grand Cup’ category at the 4th Hong Kong International Flute Competition. She is the first Chinese person to have won first prize at this competition.

In the piano category, PreCollege students from the Karlsruhe University of Music achieved numerous successes at the regional ‘Jugend musiziert’ competitions, each scoring the maximum 25 points. From Prof. Sontraud Speidel’s class: In Rhineland-Palatinate, Luise Bold won first prize in age group III (born in 2012 and 2013), qualifying for the national competition; she also received a special prize from the GRADUS YOUNG Piano Academy for selected first-prize winners in the solo piano… Weiterlesen

At this year’s 2nd International Josephine Lang Competition for song duos in Tübingen , which is dedicated exclusively to the works of female composers, soprano Maine Takeda (who graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Voice from Prof. Hanno Müller-Brachmann’s class in the summer semester of 2025) and her piano partner Anu Rautakoski (alumna of the Lied class of Prof. Dr. h.c.
