Mourning for Michael Uhde (1953–2024)
It is with great sadness that we have to announce that our colleague and teacher Prof. Michael Uhde died of an insidious illness on 8 January 2024 at the age of 70. Peter Kienzle
*09.07.1940 † 22.12.2023
Until his death at the age of 83, Peter Kienzle worked as a porter at Schloss Gottesaue. We have lost not only a highly esteemed and respected colleague, but also a good friend. We will keep Peter Kienzle in honorable memory.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to his family and friends.

In memory of Dr Wolfgang Schäuble
Dr Wolfgang Schäuble, one of Germany's most renowned politicians, passed away on 25 December 2023. We fondly remember his visit to the Karlsruhe University of Music when the then President of the Bundestag opened the 2020/21 winter semester at the Wolfgang Rihm Forum on 14 October 2020 with his speech "How does politics sound?" at the Academic Celebration.

Johannes Heuft, born in 1997, has been studying Music Journalism for Broadcasting and Multimedia at the Karlsruhe University of Music since 2018. After completing his Bachelor's degree in 2022, he will be in the 3rd semester of the Master's degree programme in Music Journalism. Heuft, who grew up in the municipality of Kottenheim (Mayen-Koblenz district), made his home community the subject of a media production, for which he has now been awarded the Hans-Hachmann Scholarship.

On 11 November in Karlsruhe, Jūratė Braginaitė and her colleague Mara May were awarded the prestigious "ARD German Radio Play Prize" for their radio play 'Vogel Igel Stachelschwein.
