The composer Ahmed Adnan Saygun (1907-1991) was a leading representative of a reform of Turkish music aimed at Western classical music. He belonged to the Turkish Five, the group of the first professional composers of the Republic of Turkey, which was founded in 1923. The concert will feature early piano works by the master.
