Finnish cellist Marko Ylönen is a soloist, orchestral player and principal cello, plays in different ensembles, and is a teacher. Ylönen’s repertory is broad, taking in a range of works by C. P. E. "The Little Match Girl" by Hans Christian Andersen tells the ordeal of a girl wandering barefoot on the snowy streets of Copenhagen. Desperate from the cold, she burns the last of her matches to warm herself. With each flare-up, another comforting vision appears to him.
