Ethics Committee

The Ethics Committee of the Karlsruhe University of Music examines the ethical aspects of research projects that are based at the Karlsruhe University of Music and/or for which members of the university are responsible. Ethically responsible research at the Karlsruhe University of Music is characterised by respectful treatment of people who make themselves available to participate in research studies. It respects their human dignity, self-determination and integrity. The committee helps to ensure ethical standards at the university and to promote a reflective discussion of the resulting issues.

The Ethics Committee has at least three permanent members in order to represent the academic spectrum of the University of Music as comprehensively as possible. At least one member must be a university lecturer and two others must be full-time members of the university's academic staff.
