Courses: Summer Semester 2026
Lectures, tutorials and other group sessions
The following list includes only those courses that take place regularly at the same time or on specific dates, in particular lectures, seminars and tutorials. Individual and group tuition arranged directly with the relevant lecturers is not included here. The overview of lecturers by subject group and institute (page 6) and the address directory (page 80) will help you get in touch.
The study plans for most degree programmes require students to attend courses from various fields, e.g. in music theory or music history (see Musicology). As the courses are sorted by these subject areas, it is easy to put together a timetable. Each listed course is marked with an indication of which students it is open to. An up-to-date overview of the elective courses available for the BA/MA programmes in instrumental subjects, singing, conducting, composition and music theory can be found here... as well as on noticeboards in the various teaching buildings. If you have any questions, please contact the Student Services Office.
Please also check the latest notices and announcements on the university’s website for any changes or additional offerings, and the updated course catalogue for the Institute of Musicology and Music Informatics on the institute’s website. For some courses, you will also find further details regarding the course content on the website, as well as teaching materials on the course servers of the Institute of Music Informatics and Musicology.
