regarding reconstruction works/fire protection measures in Schloss Gottesaue
Dear teachers and students,
during the upcoming lecture-free period between July 24 and September 29, 2023, the last major construction phase of the fire protection measures in Gottesaue Castle will take place. The final construction phase includes slitting and cable pulling work in the stair towers and the library. The installation of equipment across all rooms will also be continued.
In the period from July 24 to September 29, 2023, there will therefore be significant disruptions throughout the palace, which will preclude the use of all rooms. The library will also be completely closed in the period from July 22 to October 01, 2023. Therefore, please provide yourself with the media you need in good time.
After this construction phase, i.e. during the winter semester 2023/24, the final commissioning and building code approvals of the newly installed systems will take place. This will conclude the fire protection renovation after more than four years of execution.
This measure has demanded a great deal of patience and privation from you and from all of us. Finally, we can breathe a sigh of relief and return to full use of the castle at the heart of our university on CampusOne.

During the renovation work, the "Pforte" in the Schloss is staffed from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 8 pm. The Pforte is closed on weekends.
