Tobias Pelkner studied with Alfred Rinderspacher at the Mannheim State University of Music and Performing Arts and with Klaus Thunemann at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. In the prelude, fanfare motifs wander from the low winds to the flutes. They are contrasted by a melancholy oboe melody. An arabesque for clarinet introduces the romance, rich in tonal colours.
