Music Journalism for Radio, Television and Internet
The Institute of Music Journalism trains students to become music journalists for the electronic media (radio/TV/online) in a Bachelor's and Master's programme. While the 6-semester Bachelor's programme teaches the basics of journalism, production technology and music, the 4-semester Master's programme is dedicated to the development of innovative information transfer in the media.
Live programmes on the Young Culture Channel
The Institute of Music Journalism offers a very practical training programme. In two radio broadcasting and production studios and a green screen TV studio, students learn how to handle journalistic production processes for online media and broadcasting. The institute is the only university facility of its kind to have an FM broadcasting frequency (104.8 MHz), on which students in the Karlsruhe area broadcast the results of seminars, workshops and projects from their own radio broadcasting studio live and pre-produced. All multimedia productions can be accessed at any time on the institute's own website JungerKulturkanal.de.
Professionelle Multimedia-Kompetenz
