Anyone who wants to work in the cultural sector and prepare for a challenging career in the media will find first-class training in the Master's degree course in Music Journalism for Broadcasting and Multimedia.
This advanced course is aimed at applicants with journalistic experience and musicological knowledge and qualifies them for program and production tasks in online, radio and TV editorial offices. The course starts every year in the winter semester.
Practice-oriented studies with an interdisciplinary focus
The course is designed as a project and experimental course in which new forms of journalistic presentation can and should be researched and tested. The focus is on cross-media training, which prepares students for the diverse demands of cultural journalism.
Core areas of the course:
- Creation and moderation of TV and radio broadcasts
- Production of video contributions and online content
- Live broadcasts from the university's own radio studio on FM 104.8 MHz
- Cooperation with regional and international media companies

The four-semester Master's degree program teaches interdisciplinary specialist knowledge and journalistic skills that are particularly in demand for cultural and music formats in modern media offerings. In the final phase, students create a multimedia Master's project with a focus on audio or video.
