This year, students from all piano classes (including piano chamber music and song classes) were eligible to participate in the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) competition for foreign students at the Karlsruhe University of Music. There were twelve applicants. The prize is endowed with 1,000 euros and cannot be shared. From 7 to 9 November 2025, young duos consisting of piano and a string instrument were invited to the Kulturstall at Britz Palace in Berlin-Neukölln for the 11th Carl Bechstein Competition for Children and Young People. Anna Klein, violin (13 years old) from Prof. Laurent Albrecht Breuninger's class won first prize. Khongor Byundalai (11 years old) from Prof. Sontraud Speidel's piano class won second prize in thesame age group II (11 to 13 Years)in a duo with violin.
