Vice Rector newly elected and Vice Rectors confirmed

As scheduled after three years, a new election or confirmation of the vice-rectorships at the Karlsruhe University of Music was due. Prof. Dr Matthias Wiegandt, Rector of the Karlsruhe University of Music, proposed to the University Senate the extension of two Vice-Rectorates and a new election. 
All three Vice-Rectorships were elected or confirmed by a large majority: 
The new Vice-Rector is the singer Prof. Christiane Libor, who will devote herself to networking the specialist groups and artistic practice.
Prof. Dr. Peter Overbeck will stand up for the areas of teaching, studies and digital affairs and will also take over the vacant ‘Research’ department.
Prof. Roberto Domingos will continue to be responsible for the areas of ‘Artistic Practice, Scholarships and International Affairs’. 
The term of office will begin on 1 October 2025 for a period of three years.
