Last weekend, the participants of the XX School Music Competition of the Karlsruhe University of Music presented themselves in a versatile way in one-hour programs: solo on the piano and with vocals, furthermore with tuba, accordion and trumpet, with vocal ensembles and jazz ensemble. The jury was enthusiastic about the very high level and awarded two first prizes of 2000 € each to Daniel Salzmann and Paul Schmidtke.
The prize winners' concert will take place on Thursday, November 17, 7:30 p.m., in the Velte-Saal of Gottesaue Castle. Students from the Karlsruhe University of Music will present the diverse program of works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, Frédéric Chopin, Giacomo Puccini, Camille Saint-Saëns, Francis Poulenc, Manuel Maria Ponce, Stevie Wonder, Bodo Wartke and a Brazilian medley.
