Medialised concerts have been available on film, television and the internet from the very beginning. In the field of art music, the number of available concert broadcasts is constantly increasing, but not all offerings are equally convincing from a media-aesthetic point of view. They often follow decades-old, standardised design strategies. In view of the diverse forms of music presentation and changing distribution channels, new design potentials and an adequate range of theories for media reflection are required. Nanna Schmidt formulates a framework for the creation of an intensive audiovisual musical experience in which the relationship between representation and staging can be specifically designed.
