2nd prize in the 29th Carl Filtsch Competition

Tai-Wei Huang from the soloist exam class of Prof. Roberto Domingos has won the 2nd prize in the 29th Carl Filtsch Competition from 8-12.7 in Sibiu / Hermannstadt (Romania). In the final he played the Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor op. 37 by Ludwig van Beethoven with the Sibiu Philharmonic under the direction of Miguel Campos Neto. 
This international piano and composition competition is dedicated to the memory of the extraordinary Transylvanian musician Carl Filtsch, who was born in Mühlbach (Transylvania) in 1830 and died in Venice in 1845. He was Chopin's favourite pupil, pianist and composer and one of Transylvania's great musical talents.
