"The day Fanny Mendelssohn died" is domestic music, but the parlour is no longer safe and cosy as it once was in the Biedermeier era: since the pandemic, living rooms have become backdrops for
Workspaces and become part of public life. Perspectives of a single mother in the Philippines are combined with the bedroom of a webcam operator in Caracas or the back room of a kebab shop in Bremen. The body that works and shows the traces of its exhaustion is always that of a woman who - linked with traces of the biography of Fanny Mendelssohn/Hensel - finds herself in the cosmos of millions of transparent rooms. The two female performers literally become projection surfaces; post-digitally processed hybrid beings emerge from voice, instrument and body and operate on the border between physical and digital space.
