about this event

Da Eun Jun (*1993) is a Korean composer who lives in Germany. She studied composition at Kyunghee University in Seoul. The piece "in harmony" for piano solo from 2015 marked the beginning of her compositional activity. Following its creation, she completed her Master's degree in Instrumental and Electronic Composition at the Freiburg University of Music under Professors Johannes Schöllhorn and Alexander Grebtschenko. Since moving to Germany in 2019, she has realised projects such as "Composer x Performer" with the Ensemble Zone E<zsxpérimentale Basel, a composition workshop for the 900th anniversary of the city of Freiburg with the Ensemble Aventure and the special concert for Wolfgang Rihm with the Ensemble Recherche. As a poet, she writes texts about sensitivity and Christian teachings on mindfulness. She currently lives in Karlsruhe, where she is completing a soloist exam with Prof Markus Hechtle.
