On the occasion of the 150th birthday of the composer Maurice Ravel, we discover his compositions for piano and various chamber music ensembles. In this intimate setting, Ravel's unique sound designs are highlighted and framed by compositions by his contemporaries to give an aural impression of musical life in France at the beginning of the 20th century.
