The popular series continues in 2025. It is always a pleasure to give young students from the Karlsruhe University of Music (HfM) the opportunity to perform in the Hemingway Lounge. The venue becomes a stage for opera arias and duets interpreted with virtuosity by young talents. An atmosphere full of enthusiasm is created in the room. You won't experience opera like this anywhere else! The idea, which originated in the USA, has long since conquered the Hemingway Lounge. Opera arias freshly tapped, so to speak, without ties and jackets and hours of forced sitting still. Creating platforms for opera singing even in shirt-sleeved pubs. A new cult was born. Neither the audience nor the performing artists have any fears about crossing the threshold. One Wednesday evening a month, students (HfM) take it in turns to perform and demonstrate their art of interpretation in an informal and masterful way. The entire lounge is their stage. And you are right in the middle of it! Enjoy the world of opera in a completely different way!
