about this event

A programme of musical dialogues:
From Bach's clear inventions to Martinů's colourful madrigals, this programme unfolds multi-layered dialogues between periods, styles and tonal languages.
Mozart's Duo KV 424 demonstrates the partnership between violin and viola in classical elegance, while Ysaÿe's solo sonata creates expressive soundscapes between lyricism and dance.
Hindemith's viola sonata breaks with convention - raw, direct, full of expression. In a dialogue between tradition and modernity, old forms are transferred into a new, modern language. Finally, Martinů takes up the tradition of the madrigal and transforms it into modern, rhythmically vital dialogues.
A concert of encounters: full of contrasts, intimate chamber music - all in the name of sonorous dialogue.
