The musician Orpheus can sing and play his lyre so beautifully that even wild animals gather around him peacefully and the rocks begin to weep in the face of his singing art. When one day his girlfriend Eurydice unexpectedly disappears, the desperate Orpheus searches everywhere, but without success.
Fortunately, Cupid, the little god of love, suddenly appears and promises to help Orpheus. Together, the two descend into the realm of shadows and spirits to search for Eurydice. There, Orpheus must face unexpected challenges before Eurydice is allowed to follow him back to the surface of the earth: Challenges that he can only overcome with the help of the audience and, of course, Cupid.
