about this event
This semester's Alumni Ensemble concert will be a very “in-house” one. The audience can count itself lucky to experience teachers from the Karlsruhe University of Music on the stage of the Wolfgang Rihm Forum who themselves studied at this university in recent decades. Many years ago, they did not study on this campus, but in old buildings scattered around the city.
We are delighted to be able to perform rarely heard works for piano. In addition, a work by an alumnus is premiered by an alumnus and a work by a female composer is included in the program.
The keyboard instruments will dominate the evening, but will be joined by 47 + 4 + 4 strings.
So we will make many strings sound from different sides!
