Pol Centelles Pascual received his first bassoon lessons at the age of nine. He then studied with Prof David Tomàs (modern) and Josep Borras (baroque bassoon), first at the Barcelona Conservatoire and later at the San Sebastian Conservatoire, where he graduated with honours.
Following his studies, he worked in Spain with the Real Orquesta Sinfonica of Seville from 2005 to 2007 and has lived in Freiburg im Breisgau since 2008, where he studied with Prof Diego Chenna. At the same time, he completed supplementary studies with Prof. Sergio Azzolini at the Hochschule für Musik Basel. As part of his studies in Freiburg, he won the Carl Seemann Competition in 2009. He successfully completed his artistic training in Freiburg in 2010.

He has played with the NDR Sinfonieorchester Hamburg, SWR Sinfonieorchester, Orchestra Mozart di Bologna (conducted by Claudio Abbado), Musikkollegium Winterthur, Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, Basel Sinfonieorchester, Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz and the Freiburg Philharmonic Orchestra, where he had a temporary contract between 2013 and 2015. In Switzerland, he has played in the Camerata Bern since 2009. As a baroque bassoonist, he specialised in historical bassoons under the direction of Javier Zafra between 2014 and 2017 and has been a sought-after chamber music partner ever since, playing regularly in the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra. Since 2017, he has been deputy principal bassoon of the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra and bassoon teacher at the Clara Schuman Music School and the Freiburg University of Music in Breisgau. He has held a teaching position for baroque bassoon there since 2018.
