Nicole Köster

Nicole Köster began working for the local newspaper and local radio as a schoolgirl. After a stay abroad in Oregon, USA, she studied in Münster, followed by a traineeship and in 1998 Nicole Köster started at the former SWF 3.
After the merger of SWF and SDR 3, she presented various programmes from SWR 3 CLUB to Bis 12, Luna, Popshop and WELTWEIT.
At SWR 2, she presented the cabaret institution "SWR 2 Studiobrettl" and hosted the award ceremony for the Salzburger Stier - the most important European cabaret prize - and the ARD Radio Play Days. Nicole Köster works as a feature author for SWR 2.

She was a DJ and presenter for the pre-event on "Wetten dass? She is a dubbing artist for features and documentaries. She has hosted concerts by the SWR radio symphony orchestra such as the event series "Klassik ohne Frack" and presented the documentary 60 Jahre SWR BigBand on SWR television, for which she met Bibi Johns, Paul Kuhn and Max Greger. Since 2009, she has hosted the trend and lifestyle magazine in.puncto on ARD digital television "EinsPlus" and presented the live broadcasts of the festivals "Rock am Ring" and "New Pop Festival" and the trimedial report "Helden" on SWR television with Nora Tschirner, Philipp Lahm and Paul van Dyk. Nicole Köster has also hosted festivals such as "Arena of Sound" on Stuttgart's Schloßplatz with 100,000 visitors, concerts by AC/DC on the Hockenheimring, Bon Jovi, Herbert Grönemeyer, Sting or the New York Voices with the Stuttgart Vokalensemble and the SWR BigBand at the German Protestant Church Congress. She presented the Stuttgart JazzOpen together with Pierre M. Krause and Günter Schneidewind for SWR television. Nicole Köster has been a trainer for volunteers at SWR since 2015. She is a lecturer at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart. Nicole Köster has been a presenter and editor of the programme SWR 1 Leute since 2016.
