Elena Beer

Elena Beer studied school music at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts and the Würzburg University of Music from 2006-2011, as well as French at the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg.

In 2014 Elena Beer completed her choral conducting studies at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden with Hans-Christoph Rademann, Matthias Liebich and Vaclav Luks and received orchestral conducting lessons with Prof. Steffen Leißner.

Master classes with Volker Hempfling, Morten Schuldt-Jensen, Stefan Parkmann and Simon Halsey, among others, enrich her academic training.

2016-2020 Elena Beer worked as deputy choral director and children's choir director at the Staatstheater Darmstadt and in the department "Mitmachen&Vermittlung".

In 2020 she returned to teaching and since April 2022 has been supervising school musicians in conducting lessons in a teaching position at the Musikhochschule in Karlsruhe.

As a choir director, Elena Beer has made it her mission to perform rarely performed works in order to bring "niche works" back into focus.
