Foundation for the Promotion of the Karlsruhe University of Music

The Foundation for the Promotion of the University of Music was founded in 2021 by 13 donors on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the university. Its task is to raise funds for endowed professorships, the further development of CampusOne and its infrastructure for research and teaching, and to initiate innovative projects together with the departments. In this way, the foundation aims to strengthen the profile of the university and maintain it as a place of musical excellence.

The Foundation's bodies are the Foundation Board, which is made up of the founding donors, and the Board of Directors, which includes the Rector of the Karlsruhe University of Music and another member of the University, as well as two external board members elected by the donors. The circle of friends sends one member to the board.

With its funding priorities, the foundation complements the Freundeskreis der Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe e.V., which primarily awards scholarships and supports competitions.
