A study abroad does not only mean that you can continue your studies at another place, with another teacher and other students. The irreplaceable added value is above all to immerse yourself in a foreign culture, meet new people and come back with many new experiences. Often, enriching and formative impressions from abroad become decisive for one's own path in life.

Between the first idea for studying abroad and its implementation there are many questions and of course some important administrative and organisational steps in which the International Office will support you.

Why go abroad?
  • You have the feeling that you can learn new things from other teachers and teaching methods.
  • You would like to get to know other countries, cities, perhaps a previously foreign way of life and culture and discover new university landscapes.
  • You want to be able to speak foreign languages.
  • You would like to improve your social skills and career prospects.
