Zhelyo Todorov, a first-semester bachelor's student in Prof. Denys Proshayev's class, won first prize at the International Music Online-Competition in Moscow. Since 2023, the Friends of the Karlsruhe University of Music have awarded the Hans Hachmann Scholarship annually. It is designed to last twelve months and provides a monthly stipend of €300. It is named after Dr. h.c.
