Since 2023, the Friends of the Karlsruhe University of Music have awarded the Hans Hachmann Scholarship annually. It is designed to last twelve months and provides a monthly stipend of €300. This year, students from all piano classes (including piano chamber music and song classes) were eligible to participate in the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) competition for foreign students at the Karlsruhe University of Music. There were twelve applicants. The prize is endowed with 1,000 euros and cannot be shared.
