Opera for children aged 5 and over after Antonín Dvořák
Version by Susanne and Karsten Seefing

Presentation for schools and kindergartens

The little mermaid Rusalka secretly emerges from the lake every evening to gaze longingly at the human world, because her greatest wish is to be able to dance to beautiful music. However, her father, the water sprite, warns her urgently: the tempting human world up there is full of dangers and the little mermaid would be better off staying in the water. Rusalka defies his warnings and, thanks to magic, her wish can finally come true. But the magic comes at a high price, and Rusalka needs help from all the good forces to free herself from the water witch's clutches.
