In the piano category, PreCollege students from the Karlsruhe University of Music achieved numerous successes at the regional ‘Jugend musiziert’ competitions, each scoring the maximum 25 points. At this year’s 2nd International Josephine Lang Competition for song duos in Tübingen , which is dedicated exclusively to the works of female composers, soprano Maine Takeda (who graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Voice from Prof. Hanno Müller-Brachmann’s class in the summer semester of 2025) and her piano partner Anu Rautakoski (alumna of the Lied class of Prof. Dr. h.c. From 7 to 29 March 2026, THE CAGE, an art installation consisting of over 500 handmade birdcages by Karlsruhe-based Iraqi artist Fahar Al-Salih, will be on display at the Evangelische Stadtkirche. The supporting programme also includes concerts with students from the Karlsruhe University of Music.
