On the 100th birthday of Iannis Xenakis

Workshop-performance by students of the University of Music Karlsruhe with interdisciplinary perspectives of artistic-scientific research and music informatics on the work of Iannis Xenakis on the occasion of his one hundredth birthday.
Based on a contemporary implementation of Xenakis' software project Free Stochastic Music, new works will be generated and interpretively explored. In addition, works will be heard that were created in an exploration of Xenakis' contributions to sound synthesis.
