Artistic exchange programs

with

  • international universities, notably Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro and University of Brazil, Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Kunitachi College of Music Tokyo, and The University of Michigan.
  • Since 2000, as part of SummerSchool, instructors from Karlsruhe teach in Rio de Janeiro, as a German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) project funded with € 25,000 annually.
  • Cooperation with Kunitachi: shō project using the Japanese free reed musical instrument - mutual visits, workshops, concerts in Karlsruhe and Tokyo; documentation by Karlsruhe students of music journalism.
  • University of Strasbourg master‘s degree program with double major in music informatics with a focus on sonic arts / composition.
  • Baden-Württemberg Foundation Cultural Land Program
    The University of Music Karlsruhe is the exclusive partner of the Baden-Württemberg Foundation for Cultural Land, engaging 20 students aged 15 to 17 from the region. Launched in September 2018, the project was well received. Ten of the teenagers visited The University of Music Karlsruhe on open house day to consider further musical studies.
