It has just been reported that Prof. Dr. Christoph Seibert, Head of the Institute for Music Infomatics and Musicology, has been elected Prorector for Research and Networking by the Senate of the Karlsruhe University of Music. He will take up his new post on July 1, 2023.

In the midst of the preparations for the opening of the Horst Günter Library and the song recital on June 6th, we have received the news that Thomas Hampson has to cancel his participation for personal reasons. We regret this very much. In his place, mezzo-soprano Yajie Zhang, whose career has taken an unusually successful course since her operatic debut (2013), will join Hartmut Höll for a song recital under the banner of Gustav Mahler.read more ...

Soprano Henriette Schein, a graduate of the Master's programme in Opera Singing at the Institute for Music Theatre (class of Prof. Christiane Libor and Prof. Stephan Klemm) will become a permanent member of the ensemble at the Badisches Staatstheater in Karlsruhe from the 2023/24 season.
