On the occasion of the birthday of the international live-coding organization TOPLAP, a live-streamed event created by communities from all over the world will take place. The Institute for Music Informatics and Musicology (IMWI) participates "corona-compliant" from home with performances by lecturers and students of music informatics – partly developed in the seminar Creative Programming.

Live coding is a performance practice, usually improvised, in which algorithmic music, sounds, visuals, or other media are performed by writing, executing, and modifying program code. Karlsruhe is considered an important site of live coding worldwide, not only because of the live.code.festival at IMWI in 2013.
