Last weekend, the participants of the XX School Music Competition of the Karlsruhe University of Music presented themselves in a versatile way in one-hour programs: solo on the piano and with vocals, furthermore with tuba, accordion and trumpet, with vocal ensembles and jazz ensemble. The jury was enthusiastic about the very high level and awarded two first prizes of 2000 € each to Daniel Salzmann and Paul Schmidtke. On Wednesday, November 16, high school students can get to know the diverse offerings of the Karlsruhe University of Music. From rehearsal visits to observation, practice choir and taster lectures to the VR studio, the diverse offerings on campus range. The day begins at 10:30 a.m. with an introductory event. In 2026, the Bayreuth Festival will celebrate its 150th anniversary.
